Actually , anywhere the wind blows , I have done all these places a time or two. growing up on the Vast Great Plains were starters in early years...Then from the Keys, the Gulf islands, five years on a sailboat, the mighty Blue Ridge at 4500 feet , the wilds of Alaska, the streets and high rises of Chicago and Atlanta to the rocky shore of Maine. Through it all the memories most treasured were the sub Arctic NWT and Yellowknife along with a lot of other places in Ca. I have forgot, that still bring a smile to my face when ever the subject comes up..

I love to the Southwest/West so I would probably pick Colorado or New Mexico. Gorgeous scenery, winters aren't brutal, great people, and friendly people.
