Montreal at 14 after an unusually violent night with three shootings and three critically injured. And as always, all levels of government haven't done anything to address this issue, all talk, no action. All young people too, which has been another scary trend in the city.

St. Louis 100

north side has had 61 with 76k residents
south side 15 with 154k residents
central corridor 24 with 58k residents

47% of the neighborhoods are homicide free.
20% are at 1
7% are at 2
5% are at 3
6% are at 4

Wells Goodfellow @ 5 with 5800 residents
Walnut Park West @ 6 with 2500
Kingsway East @ 8 3500 residents

I am working on St. Louis County. It seems to be very hard to get an accurate number with all of the fragmentation.

In all seriousness, July has been a pretty bad month. Tied with April for most deaths, and this last one is especially tragic since the victim was a teenager.

*15 now, after one of the 17 year olds shot passed away, other victim was 18. We're on pace of matching, if not surpassing the total amount of homicides last year (37) which was a 10 year high. Very scary times here.
