Lake Tahoe or Lake Champlain?
Lake Tahoe (once the massive snow heaps melt away) because I live a 5 minute drive away from Lake Champlain and the rugged Sierra's would be a change of scenery. Lake Tahoe also has cleaner and more clear water.

Montreal or Vancouver?

I'll continue with this US named place, and same named place somewhere in the Americas or Carribean idea: Freeport, Maine, or Freeport, Bahamas?

I'd pick the one in Maine. For one, Maine is the only state east of the Mississippi I've never visited; and also the Bahamas is just not at the top of my bucket list for tropical locales. It's not much different from South Florida, really. Destinations in the Caribbean are to me a lot more appealing.

Guntersville, Alabama or Truth or Consequences, New Mexico?

Truth or Consequences. Sounds mysterious and interesting. Richmond VA or Knoxville TN?

Knoxville since its close to the mountains and I have less travel experience in Tennessee.

Saskatchewan or New Brunswick in Canada?

New Brunswick though I figured PEI was part of NB and just realized its not which is a disappointment. Still Saskatchewan doesn't have the lakes of Manitoba nor the mountains of Alberta so I'd rather enjoy the maritime areas of NB on vacation.

Boone NC or Carolina Beach NC?

This is a tough one since I've not been to the NC mountains and I've had curiosity about them. But I love NC beaches and I already close to eastern mountain ranges. NC beaches have warm water, nice waves, and always feel inviting to me, so I'll go with Carolina Beach.

Similar comparison

Harrisonburg, VA or Chincoteague, VA?

Harrisonburg. Close to Shenandoah National Park & it's 2 & a half hours from DC & Richmond. Also unlike Chincoteague, it's connected to the mainland.

Kansas City, MO or Charlotte, NC?

Charlotte. Been to KC many times. Only been to Charlotte once and didn't get to explore it the way I wanted to. Wichita KS or Shreveport LA?

Shreveport. We used to live an hour and a half away and it’s actually a fair weekend getaway. Celebrated my 21st birthday there as well. Wichita is, well, Wichita. Not terrible but doesn’t have anything I’d consider a vacation-y feel to it at all.

Milwaukee, WI or Cleveland, OH?
