So I'm curious, what made violent crime skyrocket nationally around 2016 extending to the present day?

Stating Black men make up a percentage of homicides is not racist. Pushing the narrative that grassroots organizations like BLM are Marxist and are partially responsible for the increase in crime and stopping police from doing their jobs is the underlying racist tone. Yes place the blame on organizations demanding that police departments across the country do a better job at interacting with Black and Brown communities. Demanding police departments cut down on the militarization of the police when it comes to Black and Brown communities. Yeah BLM is to blame for all this. Racist whites used the exact same arguments during the NAACP earlier years and when MLK was still alive. Fast forward and now he's the sole example on how us BLACKS should respond to racism. LOL

I'm pretty sure you don't believe your a racist because you can tolerate Black thoughts when it appeases your point of view of politics and race relations. But anything opposite of that is Communism/Marxism/ Democrats and any other title you feel fits at the moment.

Also the actual BLM organization is not tearing down statues nor is that Antifa. Normal SANE citizens have been fed up for a very long time when it comes to racist symbolism being paraded around as Heroic. Because of the magnitude of what's going on all over the country and the world right now involving race relations there's a large percentage of the demographic that feels NOW is the right time to tear down symbols of Hate. That's not an organizational action but a people tied to no organization action. But again racist like to marginalize to get their point across.

Maybe you should turn off the major news outlets and attend a BLM meeting to see what actually takes place with the actual organization. There's a chapter in every major city in America. I can invite you if you like. They don't bite.
Defund and disband the police...enjoy.

Black males still doing 50 % of all murders nationally, now matter how low the numbers get.

Only you have mentioned “inferior” and now that someone is pushing the narrative that community groups caused the increase in crime.

Your indoctrinated dogma you spout isn’t impressive as is your reading comprehension skills. You act on emotion; you know the personality trait that should be gone by post adolescence.

Enjoy your BLM movement as 1000s of innocent black lives are lost with police pull back.

Btw, try having a mature discussion by at least mentioning two points on occasion: parental responsibility and personal responsibility.

Keep reading racism into everything, it’s very productive and certainly won’t divert your life potential being taken down that road.

Best wishes!

Social unrest. Increased gang activity. Introduction of Latin Kings on homeland territory of past gangs. Declining standard of living. Decreased funding to social programs and Boys&Girls Clubs of America. Flattened wages with increased rents making gang activity soar. Increasing wealth gap. Allll funnelled in by a president who is openly racist and calls said cities "****holes".

All would consider to a rise since 2016. Perfect recipe to heightened crime in Minority Majority/Inner City communities

The rise in violent crime can be attributed to “progressive” mayors, DAs, and others involved in bail and other assorted ingredients of disaster in our latest version of social experimenting.

This rise is nothing compared to the toll this naive and insane defund or disband the police movements underway now.

Actually the standard of living has increased and cities like Baltimore are sh|tholes. Look at that nitwit Maxine waters district, 30 years in office and still one of the worst districts in the U.S...it’s called job security for that moronic race baiter but no where close to Obama’s.

Despite a small dip between 2017-2019, I think the long term trend from 2015 to 2025 will be upward. I don't think it's going to get better in the next few years. We may be headed back to the 1980's/90's levels or at least close to it.

There is something very bizarre about the "don't mind our 800 murders but look at these four boutique neighborhoods instead." Unless you build a wall, which you should not, around those boutique neighborhoods it is still going to be scary. Police in Chicago just pledged a greater focus on freeway shootings. You can't even take a train or drive your car now without having gun violence become a real risk.

I live in Israel. The murder total in Chicago this year will be greater than the number of Israelis who died in both intifadas. Most of those attacks only took place in certain cities and venues. But it traumatized the country entirely. Don't think Chicago can shrug this off by telling everyone that the bad stuff just happens in the ghetto.
