Did u actually read the link? Super rich? The links i posted reflect a more accurate portrayal. DC has a higher median income and higher per capita income than Chicago.
And this is relevant or important to the thread question in what context?
That's still a lot of jobs (52%). A lot of jobs in any metro are going to be things like teachers, police officers, state workers, etc. I think a better analysis would focus on private sector jobs outside of the retail industry.

Not everyone in DC, but as BajanYankee mentioned, 52% is a lot. In fact, that's a HUGE number of federal jobs. Imagine 1 in 2 jobs being gone if the fed wasn't there. And that's too low too, because many other companies/industries wouldn't be there if the fed wasn't there.
