La has so many 3rd and 4th generation Latinos, they consider themselves white.
Again, stop talking about American citizens. This isn't about them. This is about those immigrant neighborhoods.

LA has ethnic food from all over the world.
This isn't DC,

I work in encino, which I guess is a Russian-jewish (among other nationalties) area.

That's the thing about la, it's got everything. It's a very worldy place.

Ugh.
Maybe because most are citizens here?

You've never been here.

You said it's like another country because so little English is spoken.

You're nuts.

lol...come to Los Angeles in the 21st century. Better yet, you have the internet where you could ask the whole city your dumb question. Do it. I dare you. Ask the L.A. city forum your question. You would get put 6 ft under. But you would never do it out of ignorance and getting flamed. LOL ignorance is a disease which should be flamed out.

Why would I care to post in the LA forum on a topic they could care less about? I don't even know what the argument is.

Does LA have an extremely high immigrant population? Yes.
Do they all speak English? No.
Does LA have a lot of cheap good ethnic food? Yes.

What is the problem?

Most cities have neighborhoods like that. Ever been to Langley Park in the DMV? Same feeling.
