Didn't take long for this to turn into a hip hop thread. You'd think that's all Houston has to offer because the Houston boosters love to go on and on about the hip hop scene.

Anyway, SF, Dallas, and Houston have plenty to offer for anyone out there looking to go out and have fun at night. You'd have to be a pretty boring person if you have trouble finding anything to do in any of those cities.

Relax. We were talking about each different scene. Nobody was talking about as if only that was offered in Houston. And this wasn't even a hip hop thread. Only a couple posts were talking about it.

Thank you! Excellent points.

Hard to believe that no one's mentioned affordability. All other factors are debatable and may just come down to taste (and honestly, in cities that number in the millions, it'd be hard not to find a place you enjoy) but as far as how much bang you get for your buck, Houston and Dallas have serious advantages over SF.

Actually, there's a huge Hispanic population in Oakland. Oakland is a lot more racially diverse than it's given credit for. And EVERYBODY in SF that "parties" does it, no race just sits it out and sulks while another race does it all, that's just silly

Also do these posters not realize that people from Oakland, Berkeley, Freemont, SJ etc come into SF to party on weekends? It isn't like SF exists in a vaccuum.

SF has:

120,000+ latino people
260,000+ asian people
40,000+ black people
is 15%-16% gay

the Bay Area has:

almost 2 million Latino people
almost 2 million Asian people
500,000 black people

Yet supposedly SF has poor nightlife for black, latino, or straight people? That's some interesting logic...

There's segregation as well as mixing in all three cities.
