^ interesting about Dallas and the underreporting of crimes...San Francisco was doing something similar with its aggravated assaults, except that instead of omitting those with no injuries, they omitted every single one that was considered to be domestic violence.
Dallas plays with all crimes, shootings, cuttings, rapes, everything except murders.

- But even if your report started out as an "investigation of," it may have been reclassified since then. If so, to the right of the 26000 you'll see that other number, like 06945.
- If all you see in the UCR CODE field is the number 26000, your crime report was not counted.
- While these instructions are for car burglaries, it works pretty much the same for other types of crimes. If all you see is the number 26000, your crime report wasn't counted.
- Each different crime category has a different UCR code. The FBI uses UCR codes to collect crime statistics from throughout the country.
Atlanta is at 8 now to my knowledge. This year was off a bad start, but January ended up having 7 which is closer to normal, most of them being within the first week.
The murder at the Northeast El Paso Chevron is the sixth murder of 2011 in El Paso, compared to just one murder at the same time last year and five murders in all of 2010.
El Paso police said there is no common denominator between the six homicides in El Paso so far this year, and a spokesman for the department said the first four weeks of 2011 does not necessarily dictate how the rest of the year will go.
