A study that is driven by these variables will prove that cities in the middle of the country and the South have better shopping. It’s true that the cities on this list have more shopping centers, square footage and less sales tax but do they offer shoppers more variety, higher quality items, and access to endless international goods? I think not, and that is why you can’t call this list the 25 best shopping cities. Maybe they’re you’re most affordable shopping cities but not the “best”.

And your wrong again. Try shopping in Houston and Dallas before you make false accusations.

NY has more than enough shops in city proper. What killed "fashion capitals" is the criteria they used to count for shopping space (they only counted shops bigger than 225,000 square feet of retail space). This pretty much means that 99.99999% of NY shops didn't make the cut to begin with.

Remember that Neiman-Marcus was founded in Dallas

I don't recall saying they were the best, but you're very misinformed if you believe they lack variety or uniqueness.

True. That's why I stated this list was meant to weed out places like LA, NYC and MIA. You guys are jumping on Houston when NYC/LA/MIA should not even be on this list anyway [due to the criteria].
