Yes Augusta is #22.
We also are the 6th best building market, 21st best housing market, and 23rd strongest economy, #36 out of 392 metro areas in the United States for Employment Growth in 2009. Business week rank us #11 on America's next recovering job markets.
Glad to see Pittsburgh on there! They went through some hard times, but thanks to the natural resources up there, it looks like their best days may be ahead!
Not surprised to see Dallas up there. Our best days are definately ahead of us!

I was surprised about Pittsburgh. I didn't realize it was doing so well!
I'm not surprised to see any of the Texas cities up there really. Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio all made the top ten!
And the bottom ten is full of Florida cities. You really see both extremes of the Sunbelt represented on both ends.
I just expect Texas to top lists like this. For all the flack they get at times, they really do have a good thing going on in the Lone Star state.
Well there's something about the rankings of the sunbelt cities. I went back and looked for Charlotte, Atlanta, and Phoenix who have been the three biggest sunbelt boom cities out side of Texas and California over the past or so ten years years and also have three of the strongest economies going into the recession and seemed to be maintaining their growth throughout the recession. Here's where they rank now:
Charlotte #54 (not bad about in the middle)
Phoenix #70
Atlanta #75
Charlotte doesn't look too bad, but Phoenix and Atlanta? What happened? It seems like just last year they had two of the strongest job markets in the country.

I was disappointed with my home city of Charlotte towards the middle but things have been hard. it used to be easy finding a job. Now when my friends and family ask if I know who is hiring, it's not as easy. But I am confident Charlotte will improve.
