Hey, I'm sure the Charger is a great car and goes like a raped ape. But to call a sedan a Charger is just wrong. They just don't get it, they don't understand what the Charger meant to young people back in the day. Performance, coolness, freedom from your parents. Not 2 extra doors for groceries and kids.
There would have been nothing wrong with calling that car the Polara if they insisted on a retro name. Polara GT sounds cool IMO.
Give it a rest already, 3 times in one thread more than qualifies you for the troll title.
That 4 door overreved thing they are calling the Charger should have been the Polara or Monaco. That would have made sense to me.

They understand PERFECTLY how a "non-fanboy" of Chrysler perceives the names Polara or Monaco. We associate those names with POS to be avoided. Hence, the reasoning for naming it Charger, which isn't viewed as negatively by the general public. And besides, i guess you forgot that they stuck the Charger name on a little FWD subcompact hatchback in the 80's. LOL.
EDIT: Oops, I not sure why I thought you said Challenger. Need more coffee.
You can get a used '12 Charger SRT8 for under $40K and under 15k miles, fully loaded. Bargain in my books. Only other thing that competes for the price is a CTS-V but you need to go down to a 2009/2010 CTS-V with over 50k miles to get in the same price ball park. I'd personally go for a 300 SRT8, as the interior is more upscale.
If I didn't live where it snows 8 months out of the year, I'd buy myself a '12 Charger/300C SRT8. Love 'em.
I had bought me a 2012 Chrysler 300 srt8 that the previous owner traded in for a 2015 Challenger hellcat. The 5 speed trany would be my only complaint if I had to find one. However, the car have been an absolute blast to drive and not a single issue to date. The big sedan have unbelievable get up and go when you get down on it, and the exhaust note is intoxicating. This car will hold its own with many cars twice the price. This car also have lots of creature comfort and very well made fit and finish. 2014 was the last year of the SRT8 300 here in the states. They never made them in huge numbers anyway, so they are pretty rare to see, and I get looks and questions about it all the time. A really good car, so sorry they are not around anymore.
