To this day, I cannot believe that most die hard Catholics dont understand why the Catholic church is so Pro Life. Yeah all that anti-murder is nice and morally "correct" blah blah, BUT, what it all boils down to is money.

Adults - Babies = Less future donations.

With more people, wrong or right, steering away from religion, the Church is scared to death of the thought of losing its wealth. Thats why Pro Life is the churches main priorty.

Nice theory, but something tells me that the Catholic Church is not Pro-Life because of their concern over future tithes.

I disagree.

I don't agree with much of anything the catholic church says or does, but on the abortion issue, they are correct. Abortion is murder.

I don't believe that the reason for their stance on abortion is motivated by money. I believe it is based on "Thou shalt not kill."

Truthfully, I don't know how you could possibly know the underlying motives of the RCC.

Whatever their motives, I am just grateful that they don't believe in murdering innocent babies who were created in God's image.

Blessings,

Katie

The Catholic church, along with many other Christians have been against abortion for many years. Why? Its murder of a human being.

It is a ludicrous accusation . . . but the hierarchy of the RCC inspires such speculation because of their inherent corruption and arrogance.

You know what I find interesting, particularly about the catholic church, is that they're against abortion but they'er also against birth control in any shape or form and I'm surprised that women in particular seem to go along with this. Back in the 1920s women marched in the streets to get the right to vote and they succeeded in that endeavor and that was one step closer to equal rights for women, again in the 1960s women marched for women's rights in all endeavors, so why do women let themselves be treated as second class citizens by the Christian religion? Women have protested, marched in the streets, voice their opinions, to obtain the freedoms and the equality that they have today and yet they continue to go backwards when it comes to the Christian religion. Why should women let themselves be treated as second class citizens, with little or no rights in their religious belief ? why should women allow an organization run completely by men, tell them what they can and can't do with their bodies? Regardless of whether you are pro choice or anti-abortion, women should be allowed to make decisions concerning their body and their life, on their own, that decision should be theirs, not somebody else's.

While I have plenty of issues with the Catholic Institution (not the people - I love them), Pro-life isn't one of them.

Since when did this become a Choice? Even as a non-Christian I was always amazed at this.

All the innocent blood will come into judgment. Try to convince to the Creator that it's not Murder.

There is no jury on Judgment day. Our only Defense Attorney becomes the Judge.
