If you don't believe that the bible is the truth and the inspired Word of God... Then you do NOT believe IN what Mike555 is saying... How are you condemned then, and why is it a topic of discussion? Why are you debating if you are confident in what you believe? If a person told you the sky were green, and you clearly see the sky is BLUE...WHY would you stand around and argue with them about it?
The Bible really doesn't condemn either...it merely offers one an opportunity to see the truth the way God has stated it, and CHOOSE to align oneself with that truth...IF YOU BELIEVE in it...which is Faith...
If you have no belief in the God of the Bible then you don't need Faith, because your life's concern is NOT pleasing the God of the Bible. It is pleasing yourself and others...That being said, go eat, drink, and be merry. Who cares what believers of the bible think...if you are no believer...right?
That is unless of course you are unsure that you are right and you are arguing seeking some form of justification for your life... In which case...I hate to inform you...no matter what YOU MUST MAKE A CHOICE...either you do or DO NOT believe. Live life believing what you will....but what if you're wrong? If MIKE555 is wrong it means nothing...nothing happens...But if YOU are wrong......ouch...

Perhaps, you should have posted this on The whole idea that "it’s better to be safe than sorry" thread?
Or "Quotes" from Christians across the web concerning hell and eternal torture ...

You should look out the window and see what color the sky looks to you. If it looks blue, try your best to "believe" it looks green.

That phrase "God of the Bible" is one that is often repeated. It's strange too, considering the bible was written by men. It's not as if God wrote the bible. I believe in the God of the Universe who is the God of everyone.

I agree, God never declared himself as the "God of the bible", neither did he say "he is the bible".

Lake of fire sounds like physical concept, therefore allegory.
Yep, and in the Scriptures fire is used as a means for purification
