So I am considering moving to Chicago to find an internship in urban planning/design/ and/or architecture. I was wondering if you guys might be able to point me towards some firms or organizations since I'm having a surprisingly hard time finding something that looks intersting/appropriate
I guess what I might be looking for might be some neighborhood / city organization, or with a city or regional planning department, or of some straight up planning/design/architecture firm.
Some examples of what I might be interested in:
Riverlife works to protect Pittsburgh's rivers and redevelop the land along it
Lawrenceville Corp A neighborhood group
Urban Design Associates An urban design firm
Büro für urbane Projekte a German urban planning firm where I currently have an intership
Studio for Spatial Practice What seems like a similar firm in Pittsburgh (but lacking a good website
Allegheny Riverfront Vision a bunch of different groups are working on this project
So some suggestions for something similar to those / a firm that works on such projects would be awesome.
