We need to stop this inheritance way of getting into office in Chicago. It's hand me down politics! The Daley's, the Laurino's, the Strogers.... We can stop this by voting them out and the time is prime! We all know that we have had enough and I urge everyone to vote out the old and in with the new! I urge those to run for office just to get a chance to clear the slate on the City council. Margaret Laurino of the 39th Ward is bailing out on a referendum that passed by 71% to allow a Mental Health Center to be funded by it's own people? How do you not support 23,000 voters wishes? I have no clew, however, if you’re a big name in politics, you can do or not do what you want. I will put a stop to this and allow this referendum to be heard! As Alderman, I would publically announce that I will not seek office for Alderman for more than two terms, As Alderman, I will not need to charge the taxpayers over $1,000 for bottled water, or lease a car for $5,000. An Alderman of Chicago gets an annual salary of about $110,000 for basically a part time job. As Alderman, I would give half of this back to the community in Laptops for the poor, Promoting education, having after school programs to keep our kids safe. As Alderman, I will be out there in the community and try and get to know every neighborhood not just the one I live in. Please help me pass the word and put a start to the end of this madness! Lyndon Johnson for 39th Ward Alderman in 2011!

You can portray yourself as Jesus come down from the cross all day long, but if I'm a resident of the 39th ward (hypothetical), what I want to know is can you oversee and manage a wards constituent services?

1) will I get prompt assistance to remove the grafitti on my garage?
2) will you sincerely promote and participate in beat meetings/CAPs?
3) will you initiate and steer funds to repair the crumbling curbs and
gutters in my neighborhood?
4) will your office be a conduit for me to contest billing issues with city
hall?
5) will your people set up and assist my neighbors and I in establishing
residential parking on my block?
6) will you have enough influence to assure that our streets are plowed in
a prompt fashion and we get fair treatment from streets and san?

An alderman who can't get things done in my ward is of no interest to me. So far I see nothing in your little manifesto that assures me you know what your getting yourself into.

The only advantage of choosing him over the other candidate, apparently, is that he is not a Laurino.
