I suppose you'd rather have people duplicate threads?

Hmm, this is hard to say. There's not a sizable Dominican population in Chicago. Maybe Pilsen would be somewhat similar?

Pilsen is virtually all Mexican origin, save for the few artsy people who live there. Pilsen is also economically much better off than Washington Heights.

That is not true..There's alot of Dominicans in Chicago. I meet a bunch of them all over the city..I dont think there is one specific neighborhood that you will find them(Maybe Humboldt Park), but they're around Chicago.

Ehh, that's what I meant. There is no specific Dominican neighborhood.

Not to take sides but i like the chicago style of neighborhoods and how they are spread out to me a little bit better than new york. I pretty much like chicago all around in general just because i like the midwest.

Wealth is not "created" in this fashion, it is almost always taken.
b.) Try to get regressive taxes (sales tax, sin taxes) abolished. These taxes disproportionately hurt the poor.
d.) Support strong taxes for the rich (incl. capital gains tax), so that the funding can go toward important after school programs, community outreach, and aging urban infrastructure instead of going towards new yachts. Where is that sweet, sweet "trickle down" money? Certainly not in the Chicago ghettos.
e.) if you make decent money yourself, live a simple lifestyle and volunteer your time/money back to the community.
Also known as economic Socialism.

I dont know if anyone on here has really bothered to check up on this but i did some research and new york citys realstate prices have litterly gone up if not down. I dont even see the comparison to neighborhoods and homes on here between new york and chicago especially since as of 2010 the midwest has some of the cheapest realstate with alot of apartments just as big and nice to me even houses that is obviously a debate winner more towards new york why is that i guess from all of the economic pull there me though i am straight up chicago all the way.
