That I'll buy. I just couldn't go with the statement that the city considers McCormick Place a mistake...

I attend events at McCormick pretty frequently. It's expo space. The fact that it isn't all full, all the time doesn't make it a failure. It's not retail space. It's designed to sit empty most of the time.

no its not. its designed to hold conventions most of the time, which it does, but in 20% of it cause its the biggest in the world.
random percentage, but im close,
maybe not the biggest on earth, but close

i really did read once that daley dad considered it his biggest mistake, and a lot of ppl agree.

Yeah well... clearly they couldn't consider it THAT big a mistake, or they'd get rid of it... rather than massively EXPAND it.

expanding its just to put ppl to work, just money corruption. i think. mccormik is wierd to me, like why they expanded it i dont know. maybe to seperte the ghetto more from the loop?

The Dan Ryan (90/94) was planned well before Robert Taylor.

Rather Robert Taylor was put east of the Dan Ryan not the Dan Ryan was put west of Robert Taylor.
