I have been to dozens of Cubs games each year for the past 10+ years including many of them in the bleachers and I have never, ever, ever heard one racist remark yelled out loud. I have heard many chants or fans yelling at players (ex. people chanting "steroids" at Barry Bonds) but nothing remotely racist. Am I saying it has never happened? No. But that article also makes it seem that on a daily basis, sections of fans at Wrigley are coming up with racist chants and remarks to shoot at the players and that is simply not true. I expect very little from the Sun Times and that is what that article gives. Garbage from a garbage paper.

Cubs fans don't taunt their own unless the player is an awful and prolonged slump, and even then it's not as bad as fans of lots of other teams. Although unlike many other places, you can expect to hear taunts from a full house.

There are imbeciles at every game I suppose, but I too have never experienced anything like this in all the games I've been to. This reads like a cheap hit piece from a competing media outlet. As for Bradley getting booed.... maybe that will stop when he stops being deadweight. Given what people shell out to go to a game, they expect their expensive players to earn that ticket revenue. I'd bet half the pitchers in the league have a higher batting average than he does right now.

Although, now that I think about it, maybe many well-informed Cubs fans are aware of his past transgressions, and his leash is shorter.

Looks like the umpire had a short leash for Milton today, very short. He was ejected immediately after he struck out as a pinch hitter and lost control of his emotions at the umpire.

Default Alleged racist comments toward another black athlete in Chicago

Maybe the media is conspiring against Chicago, but what is up with the number of incidents of racist remarks being hurled at players at Wrigley Field? Milton Bradley is not the first, probably won't be the last. But I can't remember another city with this many problems with fans. Maybe Philly?

I can guarantee you that every white player in the nba and nfl gets a racist term tossed at them by black players every game. None of them are whining about it.

Sticks and stones....

Racism is a serious issue, but it would be better to get people talking about how subprimes were steered to black folks who qualified for better, more traditional loans by institutions like Wells Fargo instead of this.

I have yet to see Bradley actually specify any of comments. Personally, I think he's just annoyed with getting booed, which he could prevent by you know, not sucking, when he's getting paid millions of dollars of year to hit a ball with a stick.
