Art, pizza and one crazy night in Chicago - CNN.com

The article is complimentary enough...but come on. THIS is the best they can come up with? In a travel column, no less???

Anyone who's been here (even for a one-night layover) knows there's plenty more to do than this...but why do we continue to read these generic, one-dimensional articles advising the casual tourist to check out the most obvious sights while gobbling down some deep-dish pizza?

How is that one dimensional, they have 7 different 'attractions' on there with pizza being on of them.

What more than platitudes about the most famous attractions can you expect from a one page article? And in travel "journalism" any write up that's not just a paid commercial is already above average.

It's the lack of insight, not the number of options, that makes the article substandard and one-dimensional.

I frankly am glad they only highlight the obvious touristy places... I sure don't want them at my local bars, they are crowded enough already.

yeah that article was lame. people don't get how much there is to see beyond what you find in guidebooks. their loss, I guess.

Last time I was in San Francisco, I spent my last night watching The Heartbreak Kid on mute in the hotel. I was in the same city as some of the scenes - which I noticed more with the volume off! Sure is crazy.

I can certainly see why someone would watch that movie with the volume off.
