Huh? The officer wrote in his report that this individual could not walk a straight line for the DUI test. The video shows a clear, complete, uninterrupted and unimpeded view of this guy doing the exact opposite of what the officer wrote. It's not like the video just caught the last five seconds of the test. What more evidence do you need? And the article says the suspect refused a breathalyzer test at the station. That is supposed to mean that you are automatically charged with a DUI. Instead, charges were dropped. CPD officials must be pretty certain that the officers report was a blatant lie.

well if the guy wasent drunk why would he not take a breathalyzer??? People usually refuse when they know they are going to blow past the limit so oviously he had been drinking. He was going 85 in a 45

the cpd doesnt have 13,000 officers dude, the department is short like 2,000 officers also didnt you read the article in the picuyane times? it was about Daley visiting New Orleans and he stated that the cameras are better because they are cheaper and you dont have to hire cops here is the quote

"'Look, I like these crime cameras you guys are doing in New Orleans. They're cheaper than hiring more police officers and we're going to do them in a big way in Chicago.' "

Actually, he asked the officer to give him a breathalyzer test on site. The officer didn't have one available. Why he changed his mind in the station, you'll have to ask him. I'm guessing he was just furious and fed up at being harassed and illegally arrested by Chicago's finest. I have to admit, though, if you aren't going almost twice the speed limit, there's much less chance of being pulled over.

Typical Chicago attitude. Corruption is A-OK. No wonder they keep having to send people from New York out here to straighten you out (Ness, Fitzgerald, et all).
