Maybe. Maybe not. It depends on traffic conditions at any given time. I would think Horseshoe would be consistently the easiest to get to.

Potowatami in Milwaukee would be 1.5 hrs drive or so to Milwaukee. The pain is Evanston to 94, but once there, not bad. Potowatami expands seemingly every year. You can count on 45 minutes from Gurnee to Milwaukee most of the time, and then factor in your time from Gurnee to Evanston which of course varies more often than the other part of your trip.

Elgin wouldn't be much better in terms of drive.

Taking the Dan Ryan (90/94) to the Bishop-Ford (94) during rush hour would be a very slow and unpleasant drive. And also a very LONG drive from Evanston. You'd have to traverse the entire Chicago north-to-south city limits, and then some.

There's a hell of a lot more to do in Milwaukee than Hammond too, by the way...

Getting to any casino around here during rush hour would be a pain in the ass. So maybe rush hour isn't the best time to get your gamble on.

I would strongly recommend that the OP sign up for all the casinos e-mailings as the casinos, especially Potowatamie in Milwaukee are offering free match play, meals, cheap hotel stays and the like.

Mainly just blackjack. Do the Indiana or Wisconsin casino's have poker?
