Seriously, what's going on? I thought February's were supposed to be the most brutal part of winter.

I moved here for the cold/snow, and while I know that it will eventually become spring, I would like to get my money's worth out of this winter.

Ha! Just wait till next year, you'll be super excited about these little breaks like the rest of us.

I would think that since ALMOST ALL of January was NEAR TO OR BELOW ZERO would have been enough?

According to wikipedia (Chicago - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) February, on average, is slightly warmer and has slightly less precipitation than both December and January.

I say the worst of winter is over with. And don't tell me any different!

Even if it never dips below freezing again until next December, we've already gotten our money's worth this winter. But don't bet on it staying this warm for long. We'll still probably get one or two major snowstorms and a couple nights in the single digits before it's over.

There is almost always a thaw for a day or two in the winter. Usually it is January, but it is a bit late this year.

Geez, Hank. When did you get here? This winter's been a pain, and I'm stoked that I actually was able to ride my bike today for a bit without... dying.

According to accuweather, the lows from Thursday of this week until Sunday the 22nd are all in the 20s, with highs between 33 and 44. That's plenty wintry for me.

The worst Is usually in January. I've checked the forecast and it looks like the lowest high is still in the 30s!
