Yeah, this morning the Damen bus was running closer to its previous schedule.

If it weren't bus tracker, this would be a much bigger pain in the ass.

Wow, glad I take the train to work and back. I didn't notice anything different yesterday or this morning - but the trains weren't really affected, especially regarding where I get on and off, and at what time.

What I keep thinking about are all these people who work "off" hours, either be there really early in the morning, or get off late at night. What do you do when the entire route is shut down an hour before you get off work?

Suntimes interviewed some of them. What do they do? They wait.

However, life has remained fair to the remaining union members who did not lose their jobs.

I don't use Bus Tracker. Does it tell you if the bus is filled to capacity?

So far things have been good but I'll get a week in before saying to much. The blue line is noticeably more crowded than usual.

I do want to rant about something.

I wear a backpack into work. I always take it off in the bus or train and put it between my legs or hold it out of the way.

I notice lately that I seem to be the only one doing this and things are a bit more crowded with the cutbacks.

Could those of you wearing the overstuffed backpacks please take them off before I shove them up your ***?

No, but if you see one bus is coming in 3 minutes, and the next one is coming in 6, odds are you'll have more room on the latter bus.

So how are the cuts affecting everyone?

For the most part, the sky has not fallen for me. The blue line is more crowded but not so bad I cannot get on. Almost no difference to me.

The #66 is noticeably more crowded and it does seem like less buses are running less often. If I'm not up and out a little early it can be hard to get on it sometimes. I've resorted to taking another bus to another El platform a few times. I feel for the people that do not have that option.

All in all I get through the workweek without too much pain. I stand around a few more minutes then I used too but it's livable.

is it just me or is bunching worse? It is a rare day when 2 North Ave buses aren't <5 minutes apart, regardless if it's morning, afternoon, or early evening. I've also noticed some bunching w/ the #3, #56, and #52 bus

Today I spent 4 hours in traffic. On a weekend. And I mean sat. I don't mean the amount of time it actually took me to get where I needed to be. I mean... 4 hours of sitting.

If I could have taken a bus, oh sweet jesus how happy I would have been. Instead, I sat in traffic.

I wanted a drink so badly I was sweating. I miss those days when you could order refreshment on the L. And by refreshment I mean hard liquor. Los Angeles is turning my affection for alcohol into an actual dependency problem
