You'd rather have children getting beaten by an abusive parent?

If there's ever a question, a notion, a thought that a child is being abused you should call the authorities. They are trained and prepared to handle anything, so leave it to them to decide what is serious enough to remove the children from their home and what is not.

I don't even know how you can make that argument with a straight face.

Its simple discipline. I doubt these kids are walking around with broken bones and bruised faces. My parents smacked me and they did it for my own good. The authorities will send them to a crappy group-home with dozens of other children from broken homes. They will probably never be adopted either.
