Well, I went to the Davis last night for a movie. It appears as if the seats were recently re-upholstered, because I found them to be acceptable and comfy.

The floor, on the other hand, was gross.

That, and the men's bathroom has a strange setup. If you're washing your hands, you're pretty much on top of the dude peeing in the urinal 6 inches away.

I think in the old days in small bathrooms like that-men only went in one at a time. The bathroom at the Davis is similar to the bathroom at the Music Box and other old movie theaters.

GermanFest this weekend. (Basically May Fest but in September).

Looking forward to the Fleetfeet opening next to Garcia's and especially the Linc Sq Ath Club opening. Anyone know when that is?

likewise - can't remember, is there any specific event that weekend that's a don't-miss? their website wasn't particularly detailed (or perhaps it's just not that regimented, which is certainly a-ok by me).

Anyone know of a good parking area in the Lincoln Square/Ravenswood area to park a car with attached trailer for a few days? I don't usually have a car so I'm not sure where I'd be likely to find a double space on the street (needs to be in a quiet/safe area). Also open to pay lots, if they're secure, but I haven't seen too many of those around. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Edit: open to parking garages/lots in surrounding areas, if anyone knows of one that is fairly reasonably priced and secure!

How long is the trailer and how big is the car?

Yeah, I feel your pain. For all Lincoln Square has to offer, its either Conviction Fitness or Welles Park gym. Both leave a bit to be desired. Its been a great summer to run outside, but with winter coming...

I talked to a person at the Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce during German-American Fest, and the smart money sounds like late spring next year.
