Perhaps you should look up the meaning of the word "imply".

Spoken like a true urbanite/suburbanite.

I never said they were. It's a little hard to take pictures standing on a narrow rocky trail with steep drop-offs and bikes flying through. The pictures represent rides of anywhere from 10-20 miles with climbs of 1,000' - 3,000' at elevations of over 10,000' -- not exactly beginner rides either.

regardless of the hill/mountain factor (and that our ski resorts pale in the sheer majestic-ness factor) its true that the snow and weather conditions are just sooooo much better out west.

its not just that we dont have mountains, its that the snow here tends to be icy, fake, or its just so dang cold you have to wear 9 layers of clothes. Skiing and Snowboarding is just more fun out west.

I just went to Chestnut...almost cracked my head open on the icy slopes.

Speaking of the word "imply", are you implying that just because Im a suburbanite that Im not adventurous? If you are, well, then youre wrong.

I did. And it is true! Look up the beaches on Michigan's western shore -- Holland, Saugatuck, Grand Haven, Pentwater, Ludington......

They beat Miami Beach, Ventura Beach, Malibu, St. Pete Beach, Treasure Island, etc. And there is all fresh water, so your skin doesn't get all dry and nasty

I love Western Michigan. My boyfriend's parents have a cabin overlooking Lake Michigan on a bluff in South Haven. It was always a nice weekend getaway from Chicago in the summer.

Ive said it before and Ill say it again: Michigans western shores have some of the best beaches Ive ever been to, even better than most Ive been to in Florida.
