My appreciation for and respect for Derek Rose has reached it's limit. The boy's lost his confidence. It's time for the fans to boo him off the court when he appears in his street clothes for a game. He cowardly watches injured teammates stuggle to play just to win a game. Shameful.

We're in a very precarious & difficult position as far as being Bulls fans at this point. Our backs are to the wall & we face a do or die situation in Brooklyn tomorrow night & it's very possible that we won't have Luol Deng or Kirk Hinrich in addition to no Derrick Rose. I don't really like our odds on the road tomorrow.

We have a guy, possibly a game changer who's 'not feeling it' ..while we have .. 2-3 teammates playing through the Flu, 2 that can barely walk , and one who possibly has spinal meningitis ...??? as a friend reflected; "How can he look at himself in the mirror" ??

Exactly. The roster is getting so depleted that I'd be shocked if the Brooklyn Nets don't exploit the situation Saturday. There's only so much that Carlos Boozer, Joakim Noah & Nate Robinson can do.

Not that it matters; the Bulls and Nets are basically playing for the honor of being the team that gets demolished by the Heat in 5 games or less.

Missing a whole year of play while going through rehab has got to be excruciating, physically but even moreso mentally. This has been really frustrating, but the guy is a franchise player, we will get a lot of great years out of him and his team.

And let's also put this in perspective, it's not like Rose is so juvenile that he decided to follow a pipe dream and say, become a professional baseball player in the peak of his career.

Yes ..on reflection , the team and his management have caused a lot of this with very sloppy communications about his status and how it has been delivered. If he's out , he's out . Fans do deserve some 'status updates' that are realistic, and not cast in a 'well, it's his decision..' framework. Both he and the organization have a big stake in a successful return .

It was reported during the other NBA games last night that Rose was having problems with the muscle memory around the knee. It's not just the physical reconstruction of the knee, but then the training of the body to be able to move instinctively. After Thibs played him way too many minutes during last year's abbreviated season, I don't blame Rose for taking his time to be sure he's 100%.

I don't know the details of his injury, but what type of exemplary character are you expecting from a guy who had someone else take his SAT for him? The Bulls (and everyone else) knew they were drafting a great player with some serious personal flaws. You have to take the bad with the good in that kind of situation, and take it or leave it. Booing him isn't exactly going to make him eager to come back to play any sooner.
