West side? Ukrainian Village and West Loop have a number of projects going on or going to start in not that long. Logan Square...a few of them that I know of and more and more stuff coming in...just to name a few.

Southside? Not sure....Bronzeville has slowly been doing it (god I want to see that area get back so badly).

I think if bronzeville can get some night life. The HydePark -Bronzeville- Southloop area can be a place
where professional Blacks and progressive whites and Latinos can have a place to mingle.
Bronzeville can def be a nightlife hub with all the pent up demand from Hyde Park and even southshore.
The older residents from Hyde Park are adverse to any night life so Bville should pick up the slack.

I dont think race relations in Chicago are bad its just that professional minorities Blacks especially dont have that one spot they can call their own like Houston,Atlanta and NYC. HP-BV-SL,can be that place.

if I had the money I would open a bar and grill around there, investors just dont see the value and potential of that area. Even undervelop crime is really not an issue.

Chicago is a world-class city that rivals bigger cities like L.A. and NYC, thus it doesn't need you or us to talk about how good the city is in a constant way, in addition; Indianapolis also doesn't need any boosters the city is just doing fine and it speaks for itself, however if we mention positive points about the city, that doesn't mean we are "boosting" the city, please remember this because you always falsely accuse me of this. Peace out.

Hyde Park is booming!

I was talking to a Lincoln Parker who thought it was so random for Akira to open a flagship store in Hyde Park. He couldn't believe that Whole Foods where opening a new store at 53rd and Lake Park.

I really hope that Chicago could outgrow some of their neighborhood prejudices and the city could come together and become a true international gem.
