Well it appears to be way out of hand via the media which leaves us to much not of a conclusion, we can't count on the media to give us an accurate portrayal of historical data so just compare the data to answer this question and make up our own minds. So at this point compared to other years say going back 20-25 years where are we at? recently a Milwaukee talks show host did a segment on "black on white crime or black mob attack on white people in or near downtown and the medias effort to cover it up or not report the race of the attackers" I don't you tell me has the ST or the CT done a fair job or not on this issue. When this happens in Milwaukee you'll notice the local newspaper not reporting that all the victims were white and the attackers were black and certain facts omitted such as racial slurs hurled at victims during the attack. Notice in some cities where homicides have dropped shooting actually went up hence bad aim, let's take a look at the numbers first would be my advice. We all know the media likes to latch on a story and run with it~

Saw and thought this was interesting. Because the approach taken is pretty simple stuff.

Part 1
Ask some street kids if they grew up scared of the police (handful raise their hands)
Ask same kids if they grew up scared of their mom (almost everyone raised their hands)

Part 2
Touches on effective use of deterrents
Simple as sitting down with a person who has a target on their back by the state's atty and police and tell them that if they X, Y, Z they will go to jail for a long, long time. Do A, B, and C and you'll stay out of trouble.





It sounds so simple, but hey, the system we have isn't working. Worth a shot.
