No idea how old you are or what you are into, but the above link will give you plenty of suggestions.

I second that. It is such a cool urban zoo.

Thanks guys. Helped a lot, though if I were going to go to the zoo I would just go to the Brookfield zoo.

what makes this such a wonderful option is you don't invest in it; you just go. being a free zoo, you don't feel you need to "get your money's worth"; just enjoy what's there for as long as you want.

While there, I'd make my way south a block or two within LP and go to the Chicago History Museum (I'm an old timer and still call it the Historical Society). On of Chicago's best and one that doesn't get the treatment that the AI, Field, S&I, Shedd, Adler get. It's a wonderful museum and you can see it all in one morning or afternoon....plenty to see, but quite doable in that time frame.

Once summer roles around, I would go to the beach! In fact, I WILL BE going to the beach myself! North Avenue or Oak Street Beach always have stuff going on. In the early part of summer, the water will be too cold to swim, but you can go and just hang out and read a book or something.

If you are looking for fun things to do during the week you could always join a dodgeball league or volleyball league in the city. Usually its like a Thursday night at 7pm that you play a couple of games and then your team goes out to the bars after. Can you help explain exactly what answers you are looking for?
