the guy is a legend.

I was over in Schererville, IN last winter and they had the games on at bw3

I know its a chain restaurant but the beer is icy cold and cheap!

b but they had colts fans mixed in with more bears fans but they had the game on...

baseball, hockey- no 500 but if your a car guy then joliet has some races
chicagoland speedway couldnt really tell you anything about the place other than i know its in joliet

good luck with your move and look forward to seeing your posts around
One of the things I absolutely adore about this city is the fact that I can now get sloppy drunk, watch the Colts play somewhere, and not have to worry about driving back! I always used to stay home and drink because if I went out somewhere I would HAVE TO find a ride back home because it was infeasible to walk anywhere that would serve drinks and show the game.

Train, bus, or walking, it's all a possibility. And since I've moved up here I rarely, if ever, drive my car. So I don't think I'll be going back to Indiana to watch games. I appreciate the suggestion... but I want to take full advantage of my "unlimited" rides on the CTA, so I'll stick to the great city of Chicago to enjoy the beat downs Peyton gives out.

I used to live fairly close to the Speedway (close enough to sit on the porch and hear the cars race around) but I'm not really a racing fan. I have been to the 500 years ago, and enjoyed it. But to follow it on a regular basis? Not my cup of tea. But that is not to say it's not worth going to check out the Speedway. The Speedway is pretty cool and pretty FREAKING big. And in my opinion, I think it's awesome to say that Indianapolis has the biggest sporting venue in the world. Nobody can deny Indy that!

I appreciate all the replies.

I really hope that I will be able to cozy up to the bar and actually watch Peyton play this year... Kerry Collins isn't a bad backup by any means. But, you know. He's not Manning.

The bar I went to yesterday was Rockwood Place (I believe). It was decent. The cheese curds were good. The Colts were terrible.

I may have to go to Mullens next time, or maybe make a trip to that 4 Shadows place.

There was not enough beer in the bar to console me after their performance yesterday...

A sad, sad, rough day indeed.
