Not the best part of Rogers Park. You might like Edgewater, the neighborhood to the South, closer to downtown, less crime, and identically-priced.

unless you're talking about within a block of the Thorndale stop or far NW Edgewater, not really.

True. Like anything you have to investigate.
There are alot of druggie infested four plus ones and other old large apt buildings. In general if an area is mostly two flats and single families you will do better, especially if they are well kept and owner occupied.
In general in edgewater these areas are west of broadway.

In order for the east area of edgewater to improve. Alot of four plus ones and other apt buildings will need to be emptied out and redone. That takes time and money.

Some of that started before the bust. Unfortunately it's stalled now.
