Quinn looks to be in big trouble. Brady is getting 30% in the Cook County (not counting the city) so far. If that keeps up Brady should win for sure.

Which tracker are you using? I'm using the Trib's, and it says Quinn is up 61% to Brady's 31%

Yahoo. (From the Washington Post which I am not sure where they get their numbers from...) But the Tribune gets their numbers from the Associated Press which is a bit odd. Can't the Tribune have people look at all the election boards in Illinois' websites and compute the number?

Most of the downstate votes have not been counted yet. Brady will trounce Quinn outside of the Chicago area.

The gap is narrowing for Mark Kirk as downstate votes come in. Giannoulias 48.7 to Kirk 45.9.

Yeah. One thing that sucks though is the city is not separated from Cook County. Or is it not included?

Of course as you and I know, there are two different Board of Elections for the city and county. I would have to dig through some stuff to see what they did with that issue.

The Governors race is really tightening up now. More downstate counties are coming in.

I think Berrios winning for Cook County assessor is ample proof that the machine is alive and well.

It may be alive, but that does not mean in has the grip it once did. Nor does it mean it is well.
