My brother is looking to move back to Illinois. He wants to get a house on a lake that doesn't allow wave runners and waterskiing, but maybe fishing boats.

Basically, not noisy and crowded.

He'd like the Lake to be within 90 minutes drive of Niles (give or take). And for some reason, he's ruled out Wisconsin.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Most waverunners these days are far quieter than fishing boats.

That may be true, but lakes that allow waverunners tend to be overwhelmed by people on jet ski's and are not as conducive to fishing because of that. Lakes that only allow fishing boats will be less crowded overall.

Does it have to be a house? Lake Barrington Shores has beautiful townhomes on their lake (albeit small lake), and they don't allow anything motorized other than trolling motors, which are virtually silent.
