After four winters here you should have figured out by now there is no such thing as normal.

For me, it's hard to imagine it getting much warmer. Anyhow, bring it on. Once we clear February, we're good to go.

winter has not really even started yet. I still think it will come and then everyone will be disappointed. However it will be much shorter because half of it will have been past by then.

This has been one of the mildest winters I can remember. I am LOVIN it. Even if February and march are cold and we get snow at least it will only be a few months instead of 6 month winters like normal. Illinois winters is the main reason I'm leaving here in a few years.

We've only been here four years, like I said, but it seems like the cold snowy months are just January and February. You might get some snow in December or March, but otherwise it's rainy, as are November and April. By April, it's not that cold anymore.

The cold doesn't bother me, I guess. I just put on socks and a sweater. The snow is a challenge but it doesn't seem like there's a prolonged snowy season. I just definitely expected snow by now. I know it's anticipated for tomorrow, but I half-expect to get a little sprinkle instead of several inches.

It's sticking in Elgin. Not coming down very fast and the plow has been by twice already.
