I just sno-blew 2 1/2 inches off of the driveway at 12:30. I usually shovel up to 3", but I bought a new snoblower last winter and never had the chance to use it so I tried it today.

I think it went to Alaska...they are up to their eyeballs in snow.

It will...at least for a few days for now.
How long do you want it to stay?

Yesterday as it was falling I thought, "I don't mind the winter so much." This morning, when faced with clearing the driveway, however, I had different thoughts.

Even if it's here to stay, we got a good head start on spring.

Interesting comparing the winters.

I would like to comment on a major difference of this last snow.

This snow was very very very light.

It seems common when we get a major snow its WET and HEAVY
AKA

Heart attack snow.

This last batch could have been worse but it was powder compared to the snows that we had last year.

It's here! Quite a shock to have the single digit temperatures and the snow. Then you are reminded this is quite normal for this time of year.

Lows below zero tonight, foot of snow predicted tomorrow. Yep, that's a normal Chicago winter.
