I read where they were comparing the acceleration of the truck with the Corvette and even certain model Ferrari's and Porshe's of that era.
Flawless truck with a flawless ad.

Yea, he did a good job going into detail about the vehicle. Too bad I don't have that much money to spend .

Could always just throw a lt1 or ls1 in a s10 or s15 and clone it.

Just wouldn't be the same . Although I would love to throw an LS1 in my regular cab short bed Canyon. That would be fun but the 2.8 in it now runs fine so...

True, in fact the S-10 did come in a limited model back in 1989-1991 called the Cameo which had a factory ground effect package similar to the Syclone. GMC had a Sonoma GT that also had a factory ground effect package.

Take one of those Cameo's or Sonoma GT's, add an LS1 and a 6 speed and then to top it off, all wheel drive....maybe even a pair of hair dryers as a final touch.....

The 4.3 is a basicaly a 350 missing two cylinders. However, it's missing a key oil galley which IMO creats a weakness.

Again, IMHO is was GM trying to cash in on the sucess of the GN that they discontinued.

As for performance trucks.

Lightening
SRT10
Silverado SS
The 403hp Silverado (Can't remember the designation.)
Colorado with the 5.3 LSX
The TRD Tundra's (500+hp)
Hemi Dodge. (Yes they are in the low 14's pretty easy which matches the stock Lightening.)
AND all the coal train, smoke spewin diesels that flat out kick ass. (like the pile of 6.4 Superduty Ford Powerstrokes making 530+whp with a total of 3 mods.)

I heard the prototype Syclone actually did have the turbo 3.8 out of the GN in it, but they ended up using the 4.3 instead.
