Lyz, I am not sure I understand what you mean... What school did you daughter have in mind? All of our schools, both city and county are merged and have been for about 9 or 10 years thus every school in our system is "county". This means that you have to move into the zone that is for that particular school OR live anywhere in the county and attend a magnet school. Does this make sense?

I don't watch Gilmore Girls *gasp* don't tell you daughter! but there is a beautiful campus style school setting in Chickamauga GA which is close to here. Not artsy but HUGE on quaint if you can get a home in town.

Hi,
We have to stay in Hamilton County as best I can tell because she would be attending a magnet school -Center for Creative Arts. So, we just have to stay in Hamilton County. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Is it possible to live in Chattanooga or nearby without a car? Is there a bus system?

Lyz, excellent choice! I think the North Shore would be ideal BUT it's spendy, try Red Bank zip 37415. It's relatively close to the school, downtown and all the events on the river. Nice little area and affordable. Probably not the GG scene but it'll do

Thanks! and don't worry- I won't tell her that people have actually not seen Gilmore Girls! When I search the MLS I see price ranges from over a million to 58,000. So, I am sure we can find something. It just needs to be safe. I'll look at Red Bank, as you suggested. Oh, and I'd like to know if you can use just the bus system, too.
