Moving from the South Florida area to your neck of the woods. Finding a small single family type of home with a garage seems to be an impossability. The garage is for tool storage and the small size is for occassional traveling back to Florida as I intend on keeping my home there.
We love the Red Bank area but the storage part seems to be an issue.
Soddy is cool but anything available seems to disappear quickly.
Brainerd,,,advised to stay away.
East Brainerd has more for sale than rent.
I guess my question is, How does one find a small house for rent(with a garage) in the Chatanooga area? The classifieds are limited, the realtors dont seem interested in anything but a sale, and anything on "craigs list" seems to be a scam. We also tried some management companies but apartments are thier specialty.
Any leads would be appreciated on anything within a 20 mile radius of the city. Cant wait to get back to The Pickle Barrel for those portabello mushroom tesachias or however you spell it. Absolutely delicious. Also looking forward to the Corn Bread festival. From what I have seen,you have a cool place to live but like anywhere, you need to get out and participate as we plan on doing.
Sorry you are having so much trouble but keep hunting. Watch the shopper newspapers. My son rents and got permission from the landlord to buy a shed from Lowe's and install it for his stuff.
