North Carolina Governor Bev Perdue is expected to make an announcement Thursday morning about the completion of I-485 in northeast Charlotte.

Perdue announces details of I-485 completion - WBTV 3 News, Weather, Sports, and Traffic for Charlotte, NC-

they should name and dedicate this section.
She is first governor who I know has turn the project over to private sector
instead of waiting til the state has had the funds.

Charlotte just seemed incomplete with out the loop being finish.
I knew the 8 years I lived in Huntersville it was always a pain trying
to go to University or Concord.
This will alleviate the huge amount of traffic on highway 73 another road
that is taking forever to widen.

Way to go Governor Perdue

She's even got NCDOT working on projects for Cleveland County too. They're putting in a 3rd fork of 74 for Kings Mountain to alleviate projected traffic going through the city, & they're doing something to alleviate traffic in Shelby on the 74 bypass. That's in addition to the commuter train lines, which will be under NCDOT.

She probably trying to get North Carolina known as the good road state again.
During my summer researching I found out in the Civil War we gain that title.

Sunny - She's got her work cut out for her! I can see that in the horse and carriage days, NC might have held that title. But now, it's morphed into the "What Roads? State".
