Ok folks...does anybody know what time Metallica actually goes on Sunday night? Trying to time it right as I have my wife going and more than Metallica is gonna kill her.

They hit the stage right at 9pm and will play til 11pm. If you've got seats, skip the opening crap...unless you're into the blood screaming BS they call metal today. I'm on the floor, with early entry...so it's gonna be a loooong night for me! Might pull and old school and wear a jacket with Metallica on the back, put my back to the opening acts and raise the middle finger!!!

I love Lamb of God. I am not into the newer Metallica stuff. I thought about going last night but did not.

So I probably shouldn't tell you how the bass player and rhythm guitarist for LOG stood in front of me 90% of their set making eye contact while I did my best to look interested...but likely came across as bored.

I tried not to be offensive...really tried.

The funny thing was the security guards at my part of the stage. Lemme pre-qualify this by saying I'm absolutely not being racist here. Skin color helps the humor of this bit. In talking to the guards between bands, I found out that none of them really like rock or metal and they were just there doing their job. In fact, one of them had never been to a "real" concert at all, and this was his first ever show to work security! I told him he picked a helluva first show! But after Gojira and LOG played, he comes up and asks "were those guys really singing or are they just trying to sound mean and scary?"

Its a style of singing!

I have been listening to LOG type of music for years. I do like the softer stuff but its my main type of music. It can take a couple listens through to understand all of the lyrics but I had to do that with Pearl Jam back in the day!

No, that's not singing.

LOG's singing resembles about a thousand empty stomachs dying for food.
