If anyone on here as lived in both Charlotte and the Dallas-FW area, which one do you recommend and why.
I lived in both and I would recommend Dallas, but only because I think it would be more fun for you. As far as crime...uhhh...you might want to check Dallas' stats before worrying about Charlotte. Dallas has terrible crime. And as far as the unemployment rate, if you're going to be a college student, I wouldn't worry about that so much. That will be more important after you finish. Cost of living? Dallas is definitly cheaper if you're buying real estate. But I think if you're renting it will be about the same, Dallas may actually be a little more expensive.

I would choose Dallas. There is ALOT more to do. As far as crime goes...the stats are much lower than in Charlotte.

My neighbors daughter goes to UNCC and she had a terrible time last year getting into any classes. I am not sure if this year has been any easier.
