I have recently started dating a guy who lives in S. Charlotte, I live in Mooresville. I was hoping for some good halfway date ideas for this coming Thursday.

Are you asking for places to meet up in Huntersville? Like restaurants? Or what?

If the weather is nice we will probably want to do something outside. I just don't know what is outside and halfway. I think Huntersville is a lot closer to me. We'll probably eat at some point but that isn't the focus of our day.

Borrow/rent some kayaks and go out on Mountain Island Lake, if the weather is warm.

or

There is a county park in Cornelius that you could go to. It has some short trails and I think a doggy park (or at least it used to)

or

You could go the the rather large park off Beatties Ford Road, name escapes me, I think it is Latta something or other, they have some good long hiking trails and some stables and such. The Carolina Raptor Center is down that way too, they might be open, but might not,

or

You could go to Davidson and walk around the college and pretend you are rich kids going to a great school

or

You could go some where and do volunteer work. That would measure your man's sensitivity index.

Good Luck. Trust me, a guy don't mind driven up to Huntersville for a "hot date."

lln

Well . . . there's the lake . . . but it is January . . . and not the best time of year to be hanging out at the lake. I mean - one can always bike, picnic . . . but again . . . not the best time of year for that.

US National Whitewater Center //// TAKE IT OUTSIDE !!! \\ - Home

Outside? During the day? You must go out the the Whitewater Center. Even if you don't want to raft, they have miles of trails, a great restaurant and other activities. I like to go watch people on the river!!!

Good luck!!!

Latta would be a great option! Thanks for the suggestion. He has already said he wanted to try to find a park so I wouldn't have to leave my dog at home.

Jake, The trails are currently closed but if it dries out the Whitewater Center sounds GREAT.

Ramsey Creek is the park with the dog park. Its right off of Catawba ave north of 73. Huge area for them to run around. I'm there all the time.

You could find a vacant field near the airport and while getting to know your date a bit better get run off by police/security like I used to do 25+ years ago LOL...

For modern times I suppose a nice petit filet & yummy sides at Ruths' Chris and First Night Charlotte (does that still go on?)

You could go skating at the outdoor rink in Uptown. I've just walked by, but it looks like a lot of fun!
