I *believe* Enterprise offers a Prius to rent.

How about Historic in Plaza-Midwood?

The Van Landingham Estate - located at 2010 The Plaza 28205

In Plaza-Midwood...more of a small funky area than trendy...and also close to NODA (North Davidson Arts District).

Trying to stay near NoDa so you'll have something to do will lead to boredom in a hurry.

South Park area is my best advice.

Google Dunhill Hotel and see what you think...it's old and quaint. Probably not "trendy",but puts you in the heart of Charlotte.
