Or something like 5th 3rd Bank?

Press release: After an intense lunch meeting with each Director having their 3rd martini and splitting a 5th of vodka, the Board of Directors from the two banks reached a compromise and decided to rename the burgeoning financial institution the 5th 3rd bank.

They could be SevenFourths Bank. After all, the combined bank will be a tab bigger than 5th3rd.

That was so annoying. Because it made no sense because that wasn’t Charlotte’s sector.

Wonder how much they paid a consulting firm that deals with rebranding to come up with that name?

Nah, stick with your day job. I'd say branding mission accomplished, negative buzz is a just as good as positive buzz. Especially with a name..think about something strange as Wachovia...hell, most people who see that word for the first time would not know how to pronounce it or what it meant.
