Oh, yes, I just called up NC dmv and they said, I have to have the state driver's license an proof that I live there.
Then I can register the car there, but, It is on me, to drive the car, in the state I live in and not change the registration to this state.

Well, I live in NC, temporarily and I can't vote, as I'm not a citizen.

I've seen cards driving around with rear license plate covers that are tinted to a dark color. You can still read the plate. I am not sure if these are legal but you can try using one of them instead of trying to get an out of state license place.

That sounds cool, will check with dmv on that too, before doing it and getting pulled over.
