Well, I'm from Michigan I'm a 18 year old H.S African American..Right now I hold a 3.2gpa in H.S but I'm thinking about dropping out. Again I am 18 years of age, I want to become a Police officer in the Charlotte metro area then after that become a Detective. BUT FIRST what are good high paying jobs(Over 15/hr) that I can find via internet in the Charlotte metro area it can include factory working, hospital working and etc. I haven't announce this to my family but I'm REALLY REALLY considering this.

I'm choosing between moving back to LA(CALI) with my Dad or to Charlotte but I haven't found any interesting things about moving to LA.

So can you please give me GOOD INFO.

OH** Apartment info too.
It can be in a good or medium bad residential area.
BUT CHEAP for a 18 year old student.

SORRY FOR THE SPELLING AND GRAMMAR ERROS!

The important thing is that you have a goal in mind, but dropping out of high school will get you there later versus sooner. Please finish high school!

Finish school. The last thing Meck county needs is another uneducated mouth to feed. And the schools are pretty rough here.

Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications to be considered for employment:
- Have a high school diploma or GED, but we encourage applicants to have at least an Associates Degree

I highly doubt a HS dropout would be accepted to the Police Academy...finish HS.

You'd be an idiot to drop out of school. Please don't even entertain the thought. No one will hire you without a HS diploma.

I cant imagine that you are going to be able to find a job that pays a high school drop out anywhere near $15 an hour. Stay in school then relocate.

Stick it out!!! Do NOT quit! You will regret it. If you are 18 I assume you must be a senior. It's Feb, which means you only have 3-4 months of school left. Without a diploma the 3.2 GPA will mean nothing.

There actually a lot of police officers who only have a GED. There are also a lot that have GED and a two year degree. The training to become a police officer is the same regardless. You need a lot more street smarts than book smarts to be a cop.

A 3.2 GPA and you want to drop out? Finish school, regardless how much school you have left. Save money starting now until you finish school and when you graduate, then assess your options about moving again. Perhaps taking some college courses in Charlotte (UNCC, Piedmont CC).

Dropping out of High School will be the worst decision you have ever made. Stay in school. Please!!
