Once again asking for some recommendations for the top dentists in the area. I was hoping there was some sort of list like how Charlotte magazine has for the drs.! I am willing to travel an hr. away if I have to. I live in South Charlotte.

I have meet with four so far and haven't really loved anyone. Some I like the Drs. but don't like the staff or vice versa. Others just seem to extreme and expensive and finally the rest just don't seem up to date with the lasers and all. I am meeting with Dr. Yaste next Wed. and hopefully he is great! If not I am back to the drawing board!

I go to Dr Crowley. She is very nice and the prices are very reasonable. The staff is great and nice to work with. they are over by the Post Office on Carmel Rd. near the Hickory Tavern.

I searched forever to find a good dentist in Ballantyne and they have gotten so ridiculous. I wanted to schedule a simple cleaning and x-ray appt. and the 2 in Ballantyne said that I had to come in for a "Smile Consultation" so the Dr could recommend a treatment plan, I would then have to set up another appt. for the cleaning and x-ray!!! Where I come from, you go every 6 months for a cleaning and one time a year for x-rays. If anything needs to be done, you talk to the Dr. and go from there.

I laugh every time I think of the receptionist telling me to schedule a smile consultation!!!

We live in so. charlotte and it took us a while but we finally found a great dentist.

Shannon Moran, DDS
Dentistry at Rea Village
11532 #P Providence Road
Charlotte, NC 28277
704-846-1401

She is located in the strip mall on the corner of Providence Road and Audrey Kell. There is a HT, Carvel, and Hickory Tavern there. They are on the side of the parking lot by the gas station on the Audrey Kell Road entrance.

She is really great and very gentle. Her staff is excellent.

Default dentists

Yep they all have smile consultations!!!

Pinkpocketbooss...the problem I am haivng with the cosmetic dentists is that they don't want to touch my cavities and the work I really need to have done so I think I need to go to the general family dentist first then go back to one of the cosmetic dentists I meet with for the invisalign and crowns, etc.

Maybe Dr. Yaste will be different. I am in so much pain though I can't even chew on my right side and I had work done by a very well known Ballantyne dentist!

Red face How About North Charlotte??

I am up in Huntersville and have found great MD's, but nada on the dentists. Anyone have suggestions for a good dentist that is interested in fixing what's wrong versus trying to rebuild your mouth!!
