The 3 most "desired" schools (those folks are fighting over) are Marvin Ridge, Cuthbertson, Weddington. If it were me, I would find homes in my price range and in neighborhoods that I loved and go from there! If top scoring schools are what you're after, then all three of the above are fair game and you would be happy with any home that filtered to them. If you need any suggestions feel free to message me. Good luck!
They are the most desired because they are the best performing
Not to mention a 100,000 SQF Teeter and gas station...
My guess is that Kroger wants to try out a Giant Eagle Market District type store down here to combat Publix and Whole Foods. Giant Eagle Market District stores have been pretty successful against traditional Kroger stores in upscale Ohio markets recently.
A GEMD would be perfect for that spot. But a movie theater?? If you're near Rea and Tom Short, are you really having a hard time getting to a theater? Although don't get me started on my hatred of Regal at Stonecrest.

Hi Waxhaw Mom - I am interviewing for a position at Parkway HS - do you know anything about this school? I mean word of mouth. I looked over the test scores and ratings. The staff looks nice too.
If you going to UC for the schools beware..it's a gamble where the kids will go and it's not between the 3 schools you mentioned - for ex: Weddington was sent to Sun Valley in the last redistricting - if you buy close to a school - still no guarantee - I have one 3 miles away but was sent 12 miles in the opposite direction...this is a transient county in general and why property values will never increase - It's ok here at best..but there's a reason why the housing is cheap along with the taxes. Although taxes are going up they aren't what the north are...but don't get sold on a particular school as it will change every 3 years..it's the plan and won't change in my life time..and property values - won't increase either, mine fell 25k after the redistricting. Meck county is no better. I know what your used to as I'm from LI but then moved somewhere with county wide schools like here, but they redistricted twice in 14 yrs. I got lucky and was sent to a decent school but who knows where we will be in 3 yrs...
