Is there place that sells ice cheaper than grocery or gas station in South Charlotte? Son takes ice bath Jacuzzi after basketball and goes thru 5-10lbs each night. At least he gave up the nightly Epsom salt bath for now, suspect ice will be a little cheaper...
Summertime our ice maker went on brink and I learned ice vending machines is the way to go, its alot cheaper.
$2.50 will fill a cooler box the tail gate size. (recommended) the $ 1.50 is a very large bag. Bring quarters or dollar bills.
Best part its crushed ice.
Can you make your own?
Use the freezing cold nights to your advantage.
Take some large containers, fill with water, sit them outside over night.
Now you can have all the free ice you want in whatever amount you want.

Water freezes at 32 Degrees Fahrenheit, O Degrees Celsius.
Charlotte has many freezing cold nights despite the warmer day time temperatures.
There will also be a handful of freezing cold days this winter.
So, placing tubs full of water outside to then freeze over-night will then give you all the ice you want.
Then place the ice in the freezer for storage to maintain its temperature.

from a person that lived many years in the snow belt....unfortunately there is no way that a bucket of water will turn to ice in Charlotte, but it would be a good option if it could happen ...
